I don't know about you, but Hurricane Sandy hit hard in our area and we are STILL without power! I can't think of a better book to share at this time than John Rocco's Caldecott Honor book, Blackout. The power goes out in the city and nobody can watch TV, work on the computer or finish cooking dinner. The family decides to head to the roof and gaze at the stars that aren't always visible. Everybody enjoys the idea of not being so busy after all. Read on to find out what happens when the lights actually do come on!!
For those of you who are still without power, hang in there! We're hoping for power soon. Until then, we'll be playing Candy Land, Trouble and UNO and reading tons of books! What are you doing to keep not so busy??
